Cheltenham, Great Britain. A family as many – dad Simon, mum Jodie and their two children, Ruben and Floran. Nothing strange except the fact that the two British brother and sister are twins , but different in age. Yes, that’s incredible but it’s the simple truth.
The story began six years ago, when Jodie and Simon Blake decided to have a child. The problem was that they risked being a childless couple and so they thought of having recourse to the in vitro fecundation. In 2005 Jodie got pregnant. Five ovules were fecundated – two of them were implanted and the others were frozen. The “result” of the treatment bore one year later and the little Ruben came into the world making his parents’ happiness. Five years went by, but the Blakes were still longing for growing the family and so they tried to have a second child. The defrosting act of Jodie’s ovules allowed just one to survive, so that she could gave birth to Floran, that now is only one year old.
So, what shall we say? Miricles can happen! These people are a very lucky family and no matter how these children have been conceived, they will be loved forever in a strong and authentic way.
